Silas Birthday party

pictures here are a little out of order. This is Silas at 6 pm that evening after his party. So tired. He couldn't even make it up the stairs. Uncle Brooke, Silas & Logan enjoying what Silas has named the train.

the thing that made the biggest impression on Silas was that people sang, "Happy birthday to Silas". That is what he keeps talking about.

One of Matt's clients sent the boys a gift. Silas has really enjoyed the rabbit shooters. We sit on the floor in the den and try to shoot the ball into a basket or bag. It really is a lot of fun. And Silas ALWAYS knows which ball is yours, personally I can't tell the difference.

Now that we are 3:

~When asked S will hold up 3 fingers to show you his age.

~He can count to 15 in english, and 10 in Spanish (he actually could probably go higher in Spanish but his parents can't, so thats as far as we go for now)

~He can count pretty correctly up to about 6 items.

~last night while reading he pointed to the stop sign in the book. "s-t-o-p says stop"

~He knows his colors

~he is enjoying this show called "team umizoomi". they talk about numbers and shapes, and patterns. so he looks for the pattern. "what comes next" is a phrase we hear often.

~He can count backwards from 5

~he sorted his legos by color

~he picks out circles, squares, oval, triangle, octagon, rectangle. He even found an octagon in our house on our stair well that I hadn't noticed was there.

~He has a definite opinion on things.

~he is sleeping backwards on his bed, with his head at the foot, and the covers bent in half to cover him.

~He knows better how to work the bouncy seat for Simeon than I do.

~when asked he will tell you his name: Silas Hanley

~sings all words to "eency weency spider"
~He has semi-imaginery friends. Milli, Geo, & Bot are characters from team umizoomi who we have to tuck in at night & I have to give them good night kisses as well, sometimes he tells me I didn't really kiss Geo b/c he was really over there instead.

~He can hop like a frog.

~he wants to trade you food items (my whole sandwich for his 3/4 eaten one) & it is NEVER a fair trade.
