We've Been Busy!!
Things have been crazy...so crazy that Vander must take a nap!!
Silas has discovered his tongue. We think it has something to do with him teething and feeling his tooth coming in. He has developed a sense of humor (you will see it more later). He is definitely a morning baby. He was playing in his activity center at 7:30 am.
PoPo and Nana came to visit 2 weekends ago. It was their first emptynester weekend. My sister Abby is at UNT now. In the following picture, Silas is telling them a story.
The thumb is never far.
So I have been trying to get back in shape. Silas goes with me on my walks. This was his first time to ride facing forward in the stroller. He really seemed to enjoy it. He talked to the neighbors working in their yards.

The new thing is that Silas is moving around a lot in his sleep. He will wake up crying, and we will go in there and he has gotten stuck in a corner..Case in point...

He wore his jams outfit recently. The bottoms are still big and the top is barely long enough. He has really shot up in length. We had to go up a size in onesies due to length, but not width. So he looks like he is wearing french cut clothes (you can see the diaper through the leg hole).
For Labor day weekend, we made the 6 hour trekk to Arkansas to see Uncle Wes, Aunt J, and Cousin Ashley. Silas was very intrigued by Cousin Ashley.
They rescued a mastiff, and her name is Sadie. She is very cute, but also thinks that she is a lap dog. They estimated that she weighs about 70 lbs.
Wes has his pilots license. He took me on a sunset ride around Searcy. It was gorgeous. We flew over Wes & Jennifer's house (Matt's car looked like a hotwheel).
You know, we were pretty worried about our trip---being our first that long away w/Silas. We stayed in hotel, and just went to their house during the day, and that worked very well. We have decided that will be the new way to travel. That way we could calm Silas down. Silas did so well!!!! The last 10 miles home he got very ansy, but we were all very tired of sitting!!!!
On Sunday morning I had Silas giggling and giggling. All I was doing was saying Uncle Wes's name....see below..
He thought it was hysterical!
Silas chilling with Aunt J. He loves that teething ring. It vibrates when he pushes down on it. It must feel really good on his teeth.

Ashley was acting very silly. Here she is doing her "peace out".

Today we began cereal again. Keep your fingers crossed. He did seem to be more receptive this time to it. That was much better. We shall see. I am going to try to make my own baby food. I hear that it is very easy and will be cheaper, and be better for him. So I am off to get a food processer!!!! Have a great day!
