one month old!

So Silas is one calendar month old, but 5 weeks old. That is so confusing!!! He has gotten so BIG! He is completely out of the newborn clothes, and out of most 0-3 months. His feet however had been in the 3-6 month socks for awhile. He looks like a baby now. Here are some recent pictures of Silas... Now I must admit, his feet don't go to the feet in this sleeper, they go to the edge of the foot thing, so he isn't quite as long as he looks there. I believe that the person who invented button or snap sleepers didn't have kids or had a very sad sense of humor. They need to try buttoning/snapping them shut while dealing with a screaming squirming kid. The dogs are very fond of "their" baby. They take guarding to the extreme. When I am breastfeeding Twix won't let anyone near us. Vander must find the baby and sniff him whenever we enter the house or Vander enters the house. Snickers, though, is put out with the late night feedings. But here are the dogs taking a break from guarding.

Doesn't he look so peaceful? We had a really rough week last week. I don't think we got more than an hour of sleep at a time, but he seems to be doing better this week. Hopefully that was just a phase!!

We think part of the reason he wasn't sleeping was the bottle we were using. We've switched bottles and he seems to be doing much better. We also invested in some fennel tea drops from the health food store, and they work wonders!!!

Silas is having more and more periods of wakefulness. He is so cute when he is full and doesn't want to be disturbed from his position. He also is very much like me---goes from not hungry to starving in no time flat.

Can you see those big feet? We think that it means he will be tall. His feet are nearly 1/3 the size of G.G's!!!

We have been trying to figure out who he looks like. We know that the mouth is all Matt. But he seems to resemble my baby pictures. It will be fun to see who he ends up looking like. He definitely has some of Matt's mannerisms. He also sighs ALOT, a Lund trait.

At one point last week, I thought maybe I wasn't producing enough milk because Silas was eating so much (like every 45 minutes or so around the clock). The peditrician reassured me that was normal, and was most likely a growing spurt, or that we have a little piggy on our hands. I think it is some of both! have a happy Easter!!!!
